About these parts

Protection parts cover something that moves or passes through a panel: a shaft, a linkage, a cable or a bleeder screw. They have to flex or stretch for years outdoors, so shape and compound are chosen for the movement and the weather.

Common questions

What is the difference between a bellows and a boot?

Both are convoluted covers. A bellows usually keeps one diameter and covers a part that slides in and out. A boot tapers from a large cuff to a small one and covers a joint that swivels, such as a brake or steering joint.

Rubber or silicone grommets?

Rubber grommets suit most cable entries. Silicone grommets are used where the panel gets hot, such as in light fittings. We make both.

Can you make bellows to my drawing?

Yes. Send the cuff diameters, the free length and the stroke, or the old bellows, and tell us what it is exposed to.
