About these parts

In a bonded part the rubber is moulded onto a metal insert, plate or shaft and fixed to it chemically. The bond lets the rubber carry load, grip or roll without slipping off the metal. Mangal also bonds rubber to wood and engineering plastics.

Common questions

What is rubber-to-metal bonding?

The rubber is moulded directly onto a prepared metal part and bonds to it during curing, so the rubber and metal act as one part and cannot slip apart in use.

What can rubber be bonded to?

Mostly steel inserts, plates, shafts and hubs. Mangal also bonds rubber to wood and engineering plastics.

What do you need to quote a bonded part?

A drawing of the metal part and the rubber, the hardness if your drawing specifies one, the load or movement, and the quantity.
